Privacy Policy
PowerIRLBot (“PowerIRLBot,” “we,” “us”) provides a chatbot and stream-automation service for live streamers. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By connecting your accounts and using PowerIRLBot, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account details — the email address and display name you register with.
- Connected platform data — when you link a streaming platform (Twitch, Kick, YouTube, Rumble, TikTok), we store the OAuth access and refresh tokens needed to operate the bot, plus your channel identifiers and public channel information.
- Tip service connections — if you connect StreamElements to receive your PowerIRL tips there, we store the token StreamElements gives you, encrypted, and use it only to add your tips to that account.
- Configuration you create — commands, timers, alerts, moderation settings, overlays and channel preferences.
- Operational data — chat messages processed to deliver commands, alerts and moderation, and stream-status signals used for scene automation.
How we use your information
- To authenticate you and operate the chatbot and automation features you enable.
- To read and send chat, trigger alerts, moderate, and switch scenes on the platforms you connect.
- To maintain, secure and improve the service.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or any purpose unrelated to providing PowerIRLBot.
Google & YouTube API Services
PowerIRLBot uses YouTube API Services. By connecting your YouTube channel you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and your data is handled in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy.
We request access to the following so the features you turn on can work:
- View your YouTube account, broadcasts and live chat — to detect when you are live and display your stream and chat.
- Manage your YouTube account and live chat — to send and moderate live chat messages on your behalf and support stream automation.
PowerIRLBot’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only use YouTube data to provide and improve the user-facing features you enable, we do not transfer it except as needed to operate the service or as required by law, and we do not use it for advertising. We do not use Google user data to develop, improve or train generalized AI or machine-learning models, and we do not transfer Google user data to third-party AI or machine-learning services.
You can revoke PowerIRLBot’s access to your Google account at any time via the Google security settings page.
Tips
When a viewer sends a tip through a streamer’s PowerIRL tip page, we receive the name and message the tipper enters, an optional email address (only used to send the receipt), the amount and currency, and, for fraud prevention, a one-way hash of their IP address and their browser type. The name, amount and message are shown to the streamer and may appear on their stream and in their chat, and in other services the streamer connects (such as StreamElements). Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store card details. Stripe’s handling of payment information is covered by the Stripe Privacy Policy.
Keraunos desktop app
Keraunos is PowerIRL’s optional Windows app. It shows your chat on your own screen and can share the song you are playing with your stream overlays. It only talks to chatbot.pwrirl.com over an encrypted connection, and opens no ports on your computer.
- Pairing — when you pair the app with your PowerIRL Chatbot Dashboard we store the device name, platform (Windows) and app version so you can see and remove it under Paired devices. The app’s key is kept in Windows Credential Manager on your PC; we store only a one-way hash of it. Removing the device signs it out immediately.
- On-screen chat — the app loads a read-only view of your own chat. It cannot send messages or moderate.
- Now Playing — when turned on, the app reads the current song from Windows’ media controls (title, artist, album, the player’s name, play/pause state, song position and length, and album art) and sends it to your account so your Now Playing overlay can show it. We keep only your current song, replacing it each time; we do not keep a listening history. Songs from web browsers are only included if you turn that on. You can turn Now Playing off in the app at any time.
- Updates — versions downloaded from the PowerIRL Chatbot Dashboard check chatbot.pwrirl.com for updates, sending only the app version and platform. Versions installed from the Microsoft Store are updated by the Store.
- What the app does not do — it does not read your games, files, keystrokes (other than its own two show/hide and move shortcuts), or other apps’ data, and it contains no ads or tracking.
Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you disconnect a platform or delete your account, we delete the associated tokens and configuration. Google/YouTube data is also refreshed and replaced as you use the service, and stale authorization data is removed.
Data sharing
We share data only with the streaming platforms you connect (to operate the bot) and with infrastructure providers that host the service on our behalf. We do not sell or rent your data to third parties.
Security
Access tokens are stored securely and transmitted over encrypted connections. Access to production systems is restricted.
Your choices
- Disconnect any platform from your dashboard at any time.
- Revoke Google/YouTube access via Google permissions.
- Request account deletion by emailing us.
